What do you do when the most powerful man in the room realizes he's the one actually on trial? In John 18, Jesus stands before Pontius Pilate — the full weight of Roman justice and religious authority arrayed against a single prisoner — and somehow, it's Pilate who can't find solid ground. In this extraordinary exchange, Jesus answers the questions every person eventually has to reckon with: Who are you, really? What do you want from me? And what will I do with you? The answers are not what Pilate expected, and they may not be what you expect either. This is not a story about a man being condemned. It's an invitation.
