I Will Not Leave You as Orphans
Fear of abandonment runs deeper than we often realize—it shapes our shame, our striving, and our sense of belonging. In John 14, on the night before the cross, Jesus speaks directly to that fear: “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” This sermon explores how Jesus keeps that promise through the gift of the Holy Spirit. As Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Teacher, and source of peace, the Spirit assures us that we are not alone, not forgotten, and not set up to fail. In Christ, exile ends—and we are invited home.
