In the day of Joel, there was a plague of locusts that destroyed the land. It was an illustration of a self-inflicted spiritual wound. God’s heart was for His people to return to Him. He calls the people to weep, fast and repent. And then God promises His restoration, blessing and the Holy Spirit.
