The Scandalous Love of God

It’s the Bible story that never appears in Sunday School lessons or church newsletters. It’s the story of God telling a prophet to marry a prostitute. She continually rejects him seeking other lovers until she’s finally for sale in the slave auction. Who purchases her? Her faithful husband. It’s our story. A people who have betrayed God yet who comes seeking after us and loves us so much He won’t leave us.
