Hello, my name is Reuben Howarth. I am a third-year Youth Work student at Columbia Bible College and am currently doing my internship here at Gracepoint. I am working with the Family Ministries Team to see the youth of this generation come to be faithful, mature disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ. I have been with Gracepoint since September of 2021 and have been loving getting to know people.
I have been a Christian for as long as I can remember. My parents brought me to church and taught me to follow and trust Jesus. I made a personal decision to follow Jesus when I started attending Camp Tulahead near my hometown, Princeton. Being a product of youth ministry and having spent my entire teenage and young adult life either being a student leader or leading youth ministry has created in me a desire and passion to continue the work God started in me and multiply that work in the youth that I now minister to.
If you knew me, you would know: That I love to have fun playing games, be them card, board, or video games. That I love listening to music, it has the ability to express emotions in ways that words simply cannot. That I love digging into scripture, particularly difficult, challenging, and confusing scripture. That I love cars, motorcycles, carpentry, gymnastics, and technology. And that I love seeing people grasp a concept or activity that used to be difficult to understand or accomplish.
Gracepoint Community Church is located on the ancestral and unceded homelands of the Katzie, Kwantlen, Semiahmoo, and other Coast Salish Peoples. We are grateful for the opportunity to be on this territory.
