When I graduated from high school in 1985, I wanted nothing more than to become a famous rock star or record producer or both and I must admit, my heart was very far from God. Since that time God has been doing some major heart surgery in my life. Through some deep and painful experiences, God has moved me from a place of floundering in meaninglessness to a place of joy-filled, purpose-driven calling, and from a place of self-indulgent diversions to a place of spacious worship in His presence. I love music and (almost) all forms of artistic expression and I love people—the fact that I get to combine both in one role for the glory of God and His kingdom is beyond “anything I could ever ask or imagine.” I live in North Delta with my beautiful wife Tracy who shares my love of leading God’s people in musical worship. We are blessed and challenged on a regular basis by our three great kids, Noah, Hannah and Luke, and we all have a soft spot for our bargain puppy, Sony.
