I was born and raised in B.C. and have lived my entire life in the lower mainland except for a brief two and a half year stint when my family lived in Central Alberta.  At the age of 15, one of my close friends invited me out to youth group and it was there that I came to know Christ.  I continued to attend youth group and eventually made the transition to youth leader, which is when my passion for youth ministry really developed.  I often tell people that I attended youth group in Grade 9 and I haven’t stopped going since. 

I will have been married to my best friend, Sheena, for five years as of May 2012 and in July of 2011 we welcomed our first child, Madelyn.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends; sports (especially hockey); guitar; reading; movies; and playing board games with my wife.  I am also a committed Vancouver Canucks fan and annually go into a state of mourning sometime around May or June.  Unlike most, I love school and I hope to finish my Masters of Divinity at Regent College sometime in the next decade.  I love working with students and I am super excited to see what God is going to do in and through the students here at Gracepoint!
